It is not believable, what rubbish still today some famous journals may diffuse in our world.
Under the Title "Why humanity will - in spite of all visions of horror - have no Wars about Water!", some Lady Wendy Barnaby, explained in GEO of May 2010, that under the impression of the Concept "Virtual Water" written by Tony Allan, her editors refused to bring into the public her newest book about "Wars for Water" - following an other "Bio-weapons" script.
I read her report and became pale:
There are no reasons to be afraid about Lack of Water - she says. Never in our world, there was a War so far about Water - she says. And water, fresh water for agriculture and for consumerism, is given in masses in all nations of the world for all times to come. Any book of Wendy about the subject can be thrown in the basket - she said.
And here I bring her other fine arguments - always followed by REPLIES about what is wrong in her chain of origins and effects:
1. Virtual water in fruits and vegetable
Wendy Barnaby: In fruits and vegetable there is plenty of fresh water. It needs 70 litres of water for ONE apple and 1300 litres for a kilogram of wheat. And the listing is long, here some other figures:

For the production of: 1 kg of Tomatoes some 140 Water required - one litre of beer needs some 75 litres of Water - one litre of milk some 200 litres - one Jeans some 11000 litres - 1 kilo of calve meat some 15000 litres - 1 kilo of leather some 16500 litres - one personal computer some 20000 litres - 1 kilo of coffee 21000 litres - 1 kilo of cacao some 27000 litres - one car some 400'000 litres of WATER - my God, only 3,5 percent of total water reserves are clear drinkable water, and most of it gets today exhausted in the grounds under Fruit-farms, other plantations and under 1000 slum-mega-towns----
However, the Water problem of virtual water found in any product, we consume away from future generations, is not more than peanuts - when compared to the problem of "Virtual Money" - dear.
This is what I wrote in my article "Virtual Money" some time ago.
Now, naturally the exporters of fruit and vegetables like USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina etc. - Wendy Barnaby wrote - can export in masses "Virtual Water" in form of fruits and vegetable to lands with a lack for water like overpopulated China, India, Japan and most of the lands in Europe. Easy! Therefore, these importers need no own clear water under the ground. They can easily survive with purchasing fruits and vegetables from other lands and spoil their own agriculture.
My reply: Well, this is the most imbecile matter I read recently. Who ever relies on water import in a land with overpopulation and exploding figures in heads, plays with an atom bomb. How can these governments and experts be sure that such exporters would not be touched by the Climate collapse to come, by droughts and other catastrophes and need all for themselves? And how can Wendy be sure that the over-indebted States have always the funds to buy such rare things like fruits and vegetable, which even in Switzerland the poor can hardly buy, when anyway most folks have not one Dollar per day to survive - and the situation becomes worse every year and even each new day?
2. Fights for Water in Palestine and other areas under U.S. spell
Barnaby: Well, there is no lack of water about Israel or dependent Palestine - Not at all. NO - this is clear. The problem are the new settlements and the politics of Israel, to keep all water for themselves, the orthodox Jews, and keep Arabs in Palestine on small resources to have control over the enemy. Great! But in the same chapter, she explains that in times of drought, even for Israelis it would get a problem. And anyway, never in the world there was WAR for Water, but always for precious matters, like oil or land or other resources and energy and influence and religion. Well, with such matters we always found some wars on the Globe.
My reply: Don't blame Israel or USA alone, but note - This is short-sightedness of the highest:
First: The shortage and cries for water is a new phenomenon, due to the explosion of population and changes of Climate and Weather, provoked by human behaviour.
Second: Wars are no longer possible in a situation, where the USA have all power on Earth with their incredibly high supremacy in atom and other weapons.
Third: As long as the problem is not yet virulent, why should folks, always becoming weaker due to deficiency in nourishment and water and money, be able to make wars against much stronger nations assumed to have enough water? Israelis might be massacred for their stupidity, not for water.
3. Pretending: There is enough rain and therefore water too, for all folks in this world
Barnaby: There are enough of water floods or deluges in the world to export products, mainly water, fruits and vegetables in areas like Africa, India, China and other lands with lack of water, to resolve any problem with water. It is a lie of pessimists that we have a need for clear water and therefore I, Wendy Barnaby, have thrown my finished book on "Wars about Water" in the next basket.
My reply: It was a Must to have thrown this book away, because it would never have contained the truth about the problem with clear water, on this mass-world on the surface of a Planet going towards the end of feasibility. Under the disordered regime of NEW WEATHER, you may have water-floods in spring and deadly drought in summer - where is the sense of plentiful of rain and water in spring?
There are so many mistakes in these arguments that I do not know where to start with and just take now some of them in this report:
a. Water under the ground
There can be as much water floods or rain the world wants, then the ground-water has been emptied by idiotic experts from Europe in the Sahel Zone in Africa, there is no correction possible. The new water - that is no longer as "clear" as it used to be in 1850, start of the technological Freak Area, will just vanish from the Earth over the rivers and evaporation. The major problem of the world is the number of folks, the quality of water in the grounds and in rivers and in lakes and sour rain from heaven - plus the fact that there is some day an end with ground-water, based on climate collapse and weather mechanics playing crazy.
The major Problem in this world will soon be the one of usable Ground-water, and no longer Oil, Gas, and Watches from Switzerland, financed with tax-free cash stolen from Middle Class and Poor on Main Street.
b. The Wonder of Rain and water floods - not at home, but far away
I wonder what great advantage Texas or California would have if there is rain in New York or Boston. Same can be said for Central Africa or areas in China or India, when it rains in Singapore or Hong Kong. Sorry, I forgot: They will export fruits and vegetables and therewith "Virtual Water" for billions of hungry and thirsty folks - very easy indeed.
What this girl said in facts sounds to me like: "There is no oil problem in the Gulf of Texas, because the period of water-floods and hurricanes will soon resolve the problem."
c. Feasibility and limits on our apparently unlimited Globe
The Problem in this world, not only with water, but also with Oil, Gas, Resources of any kind, Land reserves, Nourishment of any kind, Bio-diversity etc. - is not at all some rain or virtual water - but:
- Feasibility against mass-laws of the kind just mentioned
- Mass-population, exploded from 1927 with 2 billion to 2011 with 7 billion of heads on Earth
- The money-system in capitalism with failed and broken states and banks, one by one
- The problem that with imports and exports, problems rise in future in unlimited ways
- Illusions about the real state of affairs on a Globe in free fall in economy, ecology, culture
- Mass-phenomenon in matters of financing, climate, water situation, energy stuffs
- Dreaming about Hollywood life in all countries, possessing each some 100 Las Vegas resorts
Conclusion about virtual and real clear Water
For "normal" folks, it seems as if Tony Allan and Wendy Barnaby would really care for our planet and find all the nice solutions to overcome any problem of humanity. It was so in all times: "Humans resolve any problem, this low IQ Species would encounter in future."
And for "normal" folks, my writing is the one of a spoil-sport or kill-joy. "Let's have that idiot write whatever he wants. We don't believe in it and tear into pieces just any book or article this guy is spreading in the world, just to make us feel a little bit less happy."
Intellect and understanding of facts does not come on Lady's command:
The waking up will come soon and the ones with a view of blind mice will never be reprehended for the idiocies they wrote since 1900 about false ideologies in philosophy, theories in economics and lies about the resolution in ecologic problems.
"Wars about Water?" - forget it
It's much less sophisticated: There will be wars, because of death wishes for other patriots and idiots - or running into other lands, due to heavy requirements for money from bankrupt Nations. I wonder what China will do, when finally waking up about U.S. lies on their financial disaster.
And you can add some patriotic willingness to be stupid by free will. If we should be afraid of something, it would be individual terrorism of those led to terror by other States' Crimes. Or mention some despair and fright with uncontrollable masses, running for water, justice, resources and lost saving against any commonsense, for good reasons so - in view of Mafia Finance Politics in "rich" nations.
Believe me: There will just be a very silent dying away of huge masses of folks and even animals, per billions - and afterwards, all "geniuses" on this globe will write: "No one could have foreseen the disaster to come - we all are surprised by such developments." It's a question of power, armies, distances and finding the true perpetrators - and nothing else.
It was so with the Hitler-War, it was so with Neo-Liberalism, it was so with the fall of all Ronald and Stalin and British Empires of the world - and it was so with the Crash on Wall Street and the cheating by the powerful and rich people on this Globe - on cost of Middle Class and the Poor of Main Street in all Nations on this Planet.
Never the "geniuses" on this planet ever saw coming any disaster or collapse. And exactly for these reasons, the disasters were possible, not only with the little oil spill in Texas. Who believes in U.S. Pragmatism rather than in commonsense of facts, should never complain about his or her downfall in misery. They deserve it.
But this is NOT my problem anymore at all - but yours.
