At the beginning of the New Year 2010, some journals have listed supposed "Great Moments in History".
The outcome is shaking or shaky:
There are PRINCIPLES: - Any year is just as good as any other, since 5000 years - or: Importance is only seen, in the retrospect view of Times gone - or: We recognize "Great moments" only long time after they have become legends. I could add some more, but I want to be nice today.
Anyway, Great history could have been: Battles, revolutions, political changes, creation of States, changes in philosophy, finding: America, new techniques, science matters, inventions, deeds of famous persons, date of birth or death or any other matter that has to do with systems, thinking, nations or persons, later known as VIPs.
Now, let's become concrete and look in one of those Listings and the most important years in all Times - and my view on that Scrap:
No mention of Old Greeks, nothing about the high times in China or Orient or Swiss banks, 100 years before Christ. Look when Times seem to have started:
1. - 4 years before Christ - Jesus is born
- and with him some new Religion. Not bad - but earlier or later came other funny chaps like Laozi, Confucius, Buddha, Mohammed, Mao and Marx and some other genial religious founders. But like for Christ, the foregoing VIP of Ratzinger in Rome, we have to learn some facts.
Christ is - like all others - only a legend. Already his year of Birth, not Zero but 4 before Christ, is one big joke. And afterwards? All religions have killed more folks than anything else: Original tribes in South America, the Red Indians, all Africans and some sort of Asia escapers of other legends. Masses of innocent women were stoned or tortured or burnt on a funeral pile - alive, and Ratzinger still thinks----
God did not prevent wars and torture. None of the multitude of Gods ever was there when terror and blood-dictators followed instructions of CIA or Russian Stalin or Putin. And this rule can be taken for granted, when humanity goes down to hell due to collapses in ecology, economy and religion - down to 2100.
2. 1204 - Plundering Constantinople (now Istanbul)
Important to know? No longer the new Christianity is important outside China and India? Ottoman Empire and a fine Hegemony came up, just like later up the Bush U.S. Forces or the Third Reich of Hitler? Very important that Russia does not feel western and capitalistic since 1204 because they missed Catholicism. So what?
If 1204 was important - any change in power since Cesar, Napoleon and Mao, Gorbachev or JFK would have been of importance. I think plundering Constantinople was a very good idea. Today Jerusalem should be plundered or is plundered by Jews who apparently killed Christ, just as Christians killed 6 million Jews in Auschwitz. Not much learnt in 735 years since 1204.
3. 1534 - Translation of the Bible by Luther
Very important. Luther changes some phrases and we have another Catholicism with name New Evangelicans. We can admire them today in Texas and Alabama. They have distorted the whole intellect of the Google-Nation.
Let's make clear: Luther was like Calvin a criminal who was for killing females if not believing in his one and only God, like the type in Rome today. The bible is a very fine book and very effective: No wars anymore, no terror, no Guantanamo in the religious most hypocrite Nation of the world, where New Christians try to convince all nations, that Islam is big junk. Not wrong, but replacing Junk by another Junk will never help in higher Philosophy.
4. 1543 - Copernicus discovers - Earth goes around Sun
Well, somebody had to find out. If not, I would write it today for the first time. What did it change? Earth turns once a day giving us night and day? And it goes around the sun in 365 days and creates summer and winter - let us not forget lost springtime and my favourite: Autumn?
Be honest: Without higher Science, the world might have had some chances to survive longer than to the year 2100. It's fine to know that the sun does not rise or go down. It's the Earth that lets disappear the light. Galileo and da Vinci were more interested in helping some VIP to win power by Machiavelli than understanding that animals are humans too, with feeling and nerves. Forget science, unless it brings more of ethics and better life for our Planet.
5. 1776 - Independence of USA
Please, Jesus, let this soup pass by. USA with its Atom bomb, given on to Israel, should be the master of democracy, Abu Graib Human rights for Pinochet with 3 million dead Vietnamese, some 3000 Chileans, some 30000 Argentineans and some millions in all other nations? Freedom for Wall Street bankers and their bonuses?
And the independence of Switzerland of 1291? The one of France in 1789? The one of Germany 1945? The one of Russia 1989? The one of Chechnya in 2010? The one of Tibet, Haiti, Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan in the year 2100? Why the hegemonial skunk having caused greatest misery in the last 50 years and the total breakdown of World Economy in the year 2007, has a privilege here?
6. 1879 - Edison's glowing bubble
No, not the Chinese economy Bubble is meant of the year 2011. Not the one of internet, the first in 2001 and the second in 2015. Not the one on Wall Street and City of London or the one of Dubai. We speak of light at night.
It is true: Since 1879 we have lights in all mega-towns in the world. That’s very good: Consumerism for 24 hours, criminality and drug deals for 24 hours, banking for hedge funds during 24 hours. Electricity and light was really something. But will it save or destruct human mankind?
7. 1890 - Sigmund Freud discovers psychology
Like the study of human brains or the genes of all animals of the planet, this "Science" was the greatest bluff in all times. It is true that humans have dreams, feelings, commit murders, kill in wars and torture animals and humans and nature.
But are you sure, Freud has better answers than Rousseau or the Old Greek philosophers? Oedipus and some other sexual affairs with own mother? How boring. We consist of "das Ich - das Es - und das Über-Ich" (me - it - over-me - or something of that junk). This reminds me of Sartre and his Existentialism, as if we would not exist just for normal reasons - or Camus ideals for a perfect freedom and democracy. We have seen it on Wall Street, based on Friedman, Popper, Greenspan, Ronald and Margaret and still applied by Obama. Freud - go home.
8. 1989 - Fall of the Berlin Wall
If have written an article about that fall. It is the greatest matter of hypocrisy ever seen in this world. Replace Marxism by Friedmanism, ethics of social life not functioning under Hitler and Stalin - and replace it be Greed and Growth, produce one exploding bubble after the other and believe in a perfect anti-Darwin God and all will be fine.
Since the Fall of the Wall of Israel, sorry, China, sorry, Central Park, sorry, I meant Berlin naturally, nothing good has happened so far. Forget any Western Ideology being above any Eastern Ideology. Scrap is scrap - and junk is junk. Only a new philosophy of restraint, commonsense and justice would help. But it is out of Sight.
9. 2007 - Lancing the iPhone Chat
After IBM, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Google and the destruction of all rights of authors, editors, singers and bible producers, we have finally all idiocies, humans ever produced in our hand - in or on an iPhone. In this Journal, we could learn on iPhones:
"---With iPhone, times and spaces on Earth and in the Universe are under control for all future generations. The high-tech communications of the future allow us to be, the whole Globe, one fine Village. We can be sure that the most dull brains of the 99 percent who did not foresee any crashes of the past, will perhaps now see all crashes of the future - and consequently commit suicide in due period of time and history-----"
Note: The vitreous or transparent ORWELL Human is no longer a fairy-tale. You are in misery and when you note it - not one stone will stay on the other in the Internet and with searching machines. Americans have started the craze and all other copied it. The finals will be atrocious.
Conclusion
Okay - some of the texts were just invented now - on my iPhone.
Excuse me - I tell you some: The future with all those important Moments in Time, will be finished by 2100 - based on easy foreseeable collapses and catastrophes, humans prepared in science, ecology, economy, mass-laws, deepness of Democrazy = dictatorship of dull majorities, freedom of banks and markets - and so on. But iPhone will give you all possibilities, to become so immense intellectual that even this text goes in a direction, any spoken or written word will be of no importance for future "Great Moments in History".
